Yea, I mean Bissell is the iconic brand for this kind of product and after watching this video I was sort of persuaded that a machine with steam was the way to go because:
A) For the majority of stains, especially sticky or oily stains (hello food), the steam helps lift the stains a lot more easily
B) Cleaning appears to be way faster with steam

This led me to look at the Bissell Hydrosteam, but it's not on sale and I don't want to spend this much on it: https://amzn.eu/d/f2oaTZ1
