Dock is slightly offset from screen bottom on startup and snaps into place on hover #572

What Happened?

When elementary OS starts, the dock is not positioned at its final place. It appears a few pixels above the bottom edge of the screen. When I move the mouse over the dock, it immediately shifts down to its normal position.

Here are two screenshots: one showing the issue on startup:

There is a slightly blurry area around the dock, like a fake blurry margin. This blur is visible in the screenshot but was not noticeable otherwise.

And one after hovering the dock:

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Start elementary OS
  2. Wait for the desktop to load
  3. Observe the dock position
  4. Move the mouse over the dock

Expected Behavior

The dock should be correctly positioned at the bottom edge of the screen immediately after startup, without moving when hovered.
