module mouse hover events

will it be possible to have mouse hover events bound to a module, say with some delay?
the idea is to show popups with some custom utility and text values from the module

that would depend if i3bar exposes that info - I havent looked into this yet but it does seem like functionality i could really use for a few ideas i have with my setup
