Highlights

• New: Sort1D — stable LSD radix sort on the GPU. sort1d / sort1d! for any Bool/UInt{8,16,32,64}/Int{8,16,32,64}/Float32/Float64, plus user-overridable uint_map / by to sort tuples and custom keys. Single-byte fast path; multi-byte decoupled lookback. ~273 µs for 10M UInt8, ~2.1 ms for 10M Float32 on RTX 1000 (sm_89).
• Compat bump: KernelIntrinsics 0.1.5 → 0.1.7.

Fixes

• sort/onesweep: shared_hist OOB on warpsize=64 (AMD/CDNA).
• sort: switched @atomic source from Atomix to KernelAbstractions (fewer cross-package warnings).
• matvec/vecmat stress tests: switched to Float64 to eliminate intermittent Float32-accumulation noise that occasionally tripped isapprox(rtol=1e-3) on 1024×100_000 cases.
• test/runtests.jl: replaced the dual relative-path Pkg.activate with one absolute path. The old code silently created an empty stub env at <repo>/envs/cuda/ when launched from the repo root; the new code resolves the env regardless of cwd.

Docs

• matvec! / vecmat! now have their own docstrings (the function matvec end, function matvec! end pattern was attaching the shared docstring only to the first function).
• docs/make.jl: dropped the dead benchmark-figure copy block; switched checkdocs=:exports to :none (the package exports nothing).
• Tracked the 5 benchmark PNGs referenced from performances.md under docs/src/assets/ via a .gitignore exception, so the Documentation workflow no longer fails on missing images.

CI

• New .github/workflows/CI.yml runs julia-actions/julia-runtest on Julia 1.10 and 1 (latest). Tests exit cleanly on runners without a GPU, so this catches precompile/syntax regressions without needing a self-hosted GPU runner.

Test results

961 tests pass on CUDA (RTX 1000, sm_89): mapreduce 480, copy 12, scan 163, sort 235, views 28, argmax 20, findfirst 23.
