The schematic shows the connections but it is incomplete without the BOM showing transistor details, capacitor tolerances and types, etc. Is that posted somewhere? Without that, it's not really "open source", is it?

'open source' would also entail having access to the original sources which were used to design the product initially, not just pdf of the schematics
