I'd like to propose EIP-8341: Partial Execution Payload Commitments as a replacement/alternative for EIP-7862: Delayed State Root.

Instead of replacing the post_state_root with the pre_state_root on the EL we "delay" the EL state root on the CL by not committing to it in the bid. The builder then commits to everything in the block header except the state root. The meaning of "state_root" stays the same as today on the EL (committing to the the post-state after executing the current block). Transactions_root or receipts_root still commit to the block's content and (parts of) execution.
