Idea, not yet a spec. Beyond copying to the pasteboard (#25), hand a card to another app: Messages, Mail, Notes, a file on disk.
What this would be
An NSSharingServicePicker — the standard macOS share sheet — on a card, offering whatever the machine has. It costs little once the card can render itself to an image, so most of this rides on #25.
Open questions
- Is this worth a visible button on every card, or is it a third item in the right-click menu? A permanent button on a dial that is 130 pt square is a lot of chrome for something used rarely.
- Share the image, the CSV, or let the picker decide from what the target accepts?
- The share sheet is the first thing in this app that sends data anywhere. Nothing leaves the machine unless somebody picks a target, but say so in the docs.
Do #25 first. If copy-image turns out to be enough, close this.
