Only works in first directory of multi-root workspace

I was unable to get Expert LSP to work in the second directory in my multi-root workspace until I reordered the directories so the second one was at the top. Then I could see the LSP .expert directory was created and the extension had started running. Once I switch, it won't work for the new second directory.

Let me know if I'm doing something wrong! Otherwise, this may be a bug 🙂

Hi @candronikos. My experience is that when I open a file from a second project in a workspace, Expert starts to initialize in there, build an index etc., in the process creating .expert directory too. Go to definition and other LSP features work for me in both projects.

Can you submit .expert/expert.log from the first project in the workspace for further analysis? Thanks.

I'd like to send privately if possible, can you share your email. I should also add, this project is being run via ms-vscode-remote.remote-ssh extension if that helps.

On the first sight I don't see what could be the problem. I'll examine it more closely soon.

One more thing may be relevant, v2 and v3 workspace folders are just different worktree dirs I included to test against concurrently.

EDIT 2026-07-02: Also, this is when connecting to the remove via SSH remote extension.
