Wrong order for --sort=newest?

I noticed when doing eza --sort=newest on the list of folders you will get a list with older folders on top and newest at the bottom of the list and vice versa with --sort=oldest.

Why is that? Bug?

I wondered about this recently, and found this in the source code:

eza/src/options/parser.rs

Lines 234 to 236 in eed27ed

But I think the logic is sound: you probably want to look at the newest file, so put it closer to your next prompt, that is at the end of the output.

Yes, maybe it's useful fir a big list, but if the list is small it's confusing - you have to use --sort=oldest instead

I guess it can be. You can use -r to reverse the order of the sort, though.
