SEC Filing Functions Missing From The MCP Server ?

The documentation https://docs.financialdatasets.ai/mcp-server says that SEC Filings API is callable from the MCP but in the Github it seems like this is missing ?

The only ones that are available are getStockPriceSnapshot , getStockPrices, getBalanceSheet, getIncomeStatement, getCashFlowStatement, getFinancialMetrics, getFinancialMetricsSnapshot, getNews.

Are there plans to build in the SEC Filings functions and other elements like getCompanyProfile, getAnalystEstimates and getSimilarCompanies?

I am trying to experiment with the Financial Dataset AI MCP server which is awesome and being able to have everything under one shop is super helpful rather than trying to chain this with other MCPs to fill in the gaps. It must be possible as I see the API endpoints already exist.

Thanks for raising this. I’ve started contributing additional MCP tools to help fill this gap.
In my recent PR, I added:

• get_market_cap()
• get_insider_news()
• search_line_items()

This is the first step, and I plan to continue expanding support by working on SEC Filings functions and other related endpoints. This should move us closer to having all the key API endpoints accessible directly through the MCP server.
