Question: does Safari keep focus on address bar when searching for everyone?

This is more of a question that relates more to safari than the extension.

In Chrome:

• Cmd + L to focus on address bar
• type search query
• use vimium shortcuts on the page.

In Safari:

• Cmd + L
• search query
• Awkward escape to lose focus
• sVim now works

Does anyone know whether this is something that can be changed?

I have an ugly workaround. It involves using BetterTouchTool.
I've created a keyboard shortcut (cmd+enter) that presses enter, waits a bit, and then presses escape.

It doesn't work great. It seems to be dependent on whether machine is under load, some times the delay is not enough.
