Jump to bottom button not working for searched messages

Steps to reproduce

1. Search for a message
2. Click on that message, and go to the chat view
3. Try to use the jump to bottom button to go back to the present

Expected behaviour

The button takes me to the current messages, just like how it does after scrolling up.

Actual behaviour

The button either does not appear or is unresponsive. While both are problematic, I have not yet figured out when it's one and not the other.
