Transitional Provisions

These Transitional Provisions came into effect by resolution of the Interim Group of the Student Council on April 7, 2026.

§ 1 Scope

These transitional provisions govern the transition from the Interim Group of the Student Council to a newly elected Student Council in the summer semester 2026.

§ 2 Deviations from the Electoral Code

(1) Notwithstanding § 3 (3) of the Electoral Code, four members will be elected to the Student Council through two separate elections. For this purpose, two electoral lists shall be drawn up (List 1: until July 2027, List 2: until February 2027).

(2) Notwithstanding § 3 (1) and (2) of the Electoral Code, the term of office for those elected from List 1 ends when the new Student Council is formed at the end of the summer semester 2027 (in July/August; these members are considered summer members according to the Rules of Procedure). The term of office for those elected from List 2 ends when the new Student Council is formed at the end of the winter semester 2026/27 (in February/March; these members are considered winter members according to the Rules of Procedure).

(3) Candidates may run on both lists. If a person is elected from List 1, they are removed from List 2 and are no longer considered in the vote count.

(4) Notwithstanding § 6 (2) of the Electoral Code, the Election Committee is formed by the Interim Group from among the Student Body.

(5) Notwithstanding § 6 (7) of the Electoral Code, the Interim Group shall provide the Election Committee with the necessary materials.

(6) Notwithstanding § 11 (2) of the Electoral Code, the Interim Group shall invite to the constituent meeting.

§ 3 Deviations from the Student Council's Rules of Procedure

(1) § 3 (2) of the Rules of Procedure is inapplicable.

(2) Notwithstanding § 3 (3) of the Rules of Procedure, the following shall be elected from among the winter members: a chairperson and a treasurer. The following shall be elected from among the summer members: a deputy chairperson and a deputy treasurer.

(3) Notwithstanding § 3 (5) of the Rules of Procedure, the chair of the Interim Group shall preside over the elections at the constituent meeting.

§ 4 Support from the Interim Group

(1) During the summer semester 2026, the Interim Group shall advise the Student Council. Specifically, the Interim Group will coordinate the orientation of the new Student Council and support the formation of new structures. To this end, the Interim Group shall provide the results of its workshops.

(2) Upon resolution by the Student Council, Interim Group members who agree may retain access to facilities and infrastructure during the onboarding period in the summer semester 2026 to support the process.

(3) For at least the first eight weeks after the Student Council is formed, the Interim Group will ensure that at least one of its members attends Student Council meetings and is available to answer questions.

(4) The Interim Group will be dissolved at the end of the summer semester 2026.
