How tight is the text/csv limitation?

hi!
Given that openrefine can consume a wide range of input formats, I was surprised that batchrefine was limited to only text/csv

How tight is that limitation? If I just removed the csv MIME type validation and compiled, would it work with other input formats? Or is there a deeper reason why it can only process csv?

That is a good question, long time ago that this code was implemented. Do @gmega or @retog remember?
