Zotero is a free and open-source reference management software to manage bibliographic data and related research materials. It has become the de facto document reference management software.
Zotero comes with two sets of extensions: one for browsers, which allow sending the references of documents situated in a web page (including academic articles, blog articles, videos, songs, etc) and the document themselves if available to the user's Zotero database; and another for text editors, which enable a single click addition of references (as footnotes) using a predefined format (among many other functionalities).
Zotero translators enable the web browser Zotero extensions to get the article's relevant metadata and content, and send it to the user's Zotero db.
The github repo of Z translators list all formats. Adding the fxhash front would be useful.
