Metadata storage and server side execution #22

Thinking about bringing NATS into the mix.
We need a way to handle and share events for various purposes (telemetry, audit logs, notifications, remote execution, ...)
The end goal would be to be able to have a client (cli) that can run things server side with feedback locally so the dev experience doesn't require any other tools installed.
