Clarifications? #17

Love the idea (and simple design) of this site, but I'm a bit unclear on the qualifications needed for the software included.

  1. What qualifies a design tool as "help[ing] promote the open web"? If being able to design websites using said tool is the qualification, then I would like to suggest Sketch by Bohemian Coding. It's built using all the latest native Mac technologies, is a great design tool for websites and apps alike, and includes several web-like integrations, such as a JavaScript API for extensions & automation and Sketch Cloud for sharing and collaborating on designs over the web.
  2. Does the software listed need to be built using the native SDKs for Mac/iOS? If not, I'd also like to suggest Visual Studio Code, as it is an extremely powerful, extensible, and well performing code editor and IDE that is quite literally built on various open web technologies, with excellent support for almost any developer toolchain you can think of.
