[Bug]: Hangeul (Korean) character decomposition/duplication in Gemini side panel #5770

@khj1212k

Description

@khj1212k

Describe the current behavior
When typing in Korean within the Gemini (AI side panel) in Google Colab, the characters are not being composed correctly. Instead, the consonants and vowels are being separated (e.g., '근데' appears as 'ㄱ근데', '통과' as 'ㅌ통과').

This "Hangeul decomposition" issue occurs during the composition state of the Input Method Editor (IME), making it impossible to provide clear prompts to the AI without significant typos.

Describe the expected behavior
Hangeul (Korean) characters should be composed correctly according to standard IME behavior. For example, typing "ㄱ", "ㅡ", "ㄴ" should result in "근", not "ㄱ근". The input field should handle the intermediate composition state properly as it does in the standard Colab code or text cells.

What web browser you are using
Arc Browser (Version [Insert your version number here, e.g., 1.24.1]), which is based on Chromium.

Additional context

Occurrence Area: This issue specifically occurs in the Gemini side panel of Google Colab, not in the main notebook cells.

Environment: This has been observed consistently on macOS using the Arc browser.
