What are the steps to reproduce this issue?

1. Visit /kits on 5.8.13
2. Go to 'available kits'
3. Scroll. Change tabs. Come back. Scroll.

What happens?

Depending on your machine/browser, you may experience large hangs while scrolling. This is due to very large cover.pngs, particularly the github kit.

What were you expecting to happen?

Smaller cover.pngs.

Any logs, error output, etc?

N/A.

Any other comments?

No exactly size is necessary, but anything over 210px width, 212px height is unnecessary for the current release. If I had to recommend a resolution, anything below 640x640 and above or equal to 210x212 is a good bet. That affords the frontend some flexibility if we change the presentation of these cover images (which is likely for 6.0).

What versions of software are you using?

release 5.8.13 / debian 13 / latest chrome.
