There is unexpected behavior when editing the timeout value of any NVT. Below are the steps to reproduce. I have also attached a video demonstrating the issue.
gvmd 26.18.1 (but this was also observed in previous versions)
Steps to reproduce:
open any NVT
set a custom timeout value
click Save
Actual result:
After clicking Save, the UI redirects to the family view.
In this family view, all previously selected (active) NVTs become inactive automatically.
This window must be closed without saving, because if you save at this point, the entire family will become inactive.
After closing the window, you are redirected back to the timeout editing page.
On the timeout editing page, an error appears. However:
the error is not shown in the logs
the system still allows the changes to be saved successfully
Additional issue:
If you switch to another family, repeat the timeout modification, do not notice that all NVTs were automatically deactivated, and click Save, you may lose the previous family configuration (if "Select all NVTs" was not previously enabled for that family).
I have attached a video where the entire issue is demonstrated
