Thanks for your work on the project. I see the note in the README about not being able to maintain this right now. Might you happen to know a most similar alternative?

@hcientist , I don't know of any that are cross platform and dependency-free and make playback really easy/simple. I would have to know more about what you're trying to accomplish in order to provide a better recommendation, but as a general rule, I would suggest portAudio (Package on PyPI). You can also take a look at the other options listed in the Python wiki.
