Description
change the assertion format into more proper ones, according to the suggestions in http://deeplearning.net/software/pylearn2/internal/pull_request_checklist.html#pull-request-checklist
Also, assertions should bring more information about what is going wrong, try to make dynamic output string for the assertion info. Sometimes change the assertion to warnings or exceptions properly.
