Animated Gifs

Need to get animated gifs working. E-mailed Dr. Im about a tutorial or resouce that will help.

For animated gifs with the BufferedImage, we need to get each frame in the gif, add it to a loop and loop through to display them. I don't know how to get the frames.

ImageReader reader = (ImageReader) ImageIO.getImageReadersBySuffix("gif").next();
ImageInputStream iis = ImageIO.createImageInputStream(new File("pics/PicardFacepalm.gif"));
reader.setInput(iis, false);
int num = reader.getNumImages(true);
Image[] images = new Image[num];
for (int i = 0; i < num; ++i) {
images[i] = reader.read(i);

}

// every tick, different index
g.drawImage(images[40], 0, 0, null);

Basically the idea is to read the animated gif as an array and update it on every tick.
