We did make a change to vertical transmission calculations last year. We now apply retention at delivery to women who got option A or B. This uses the values entered in Spectrum’s input row for “Percent already on ART retained at delivery”. This was requested by UNAIDS on the basis that otherwise we were implicitly assuming women were 100% compliant with the older regimens, which could lead to them having better outcomes than with lifelong ART at sufficiently low retention levels. This change is implemented in both desktop and web platforms. This mechanism could contribute to differences between Leapfrog and Delphi implementations.
This was released in Spectrum 6.43, and Spectrum 6.43 beta 16 onwards.
