aapt1 isn't coming back, does this not work in regular Android Studio with aapt2 ignoring apktool?

Just tried naming a working dir as "娑堝け鐨勭敺鍙媉64浣峔Project" and it compiled fine.
What confuses me more is why there are 2 different dir names in his output:

• 娑堝け鐨勭敺鍙媉64浣峔Project
• 消失的男友_64位
