from what I can tell, both of these are not relevant to our package because we are not working with traditional covariates that may suffer from collinearity. draft response:

I also agree this is no relevant; at some point if we choose to expand the package (i.e. incorporate the epiwave.mapping component, for example) then it may become relevant as that extension uses environmental covariates.
