Which version of EI is this crate based on?

From the source code, it is not clear to me which version of EI this crate is based on. Maybe that information can be included in the generated files or the readme?

eiproto_ei.rs and eiproto_eis.rs are generated from the xml specification in libei's main branch as of the last time I updated them. It would probably be better to track the latest tagged release (or main, but maybe a protocol change could be reverted if it isn't released?) and have CI create PRs when a new release requires new bindings.

This is implemented in pure Rust, so it doesn't depend on any version of libei. Like Wayland, the the EI protocol has a system for negotiation what version of interfaces a peer supports. Reis currently only provides low-level bindings (somewhat similar to wayland-rs or libwayland) so users of the library have to deal with this manually.
