Description:
Currently, FlapKine integrates inverse kinematics (IK) calculations—using the DLTDV pipeline—only after a project is created. However, there's no standalone provision to simply import data, perform inverse kinematics, and export the resulting Euler angles without initializing a full project.
Proposed Enhancement:
- Introduce a new entry point in the Main Window to launch the Inverse Kinematics pipeline independently.
- Allow users to:
- Open the IK window without creating a project.
- Import the required input files directly.
- Compute and export Euler angles alone.
Future Roadmap for IK Pipeline:
This issue focuses only on the standalone IK window. However, in upcoming versions, this pipeline is expected to grow and include:
- Stereo camera calibration
- 3D coordinate estimation
- Additional modular features for IK workflows
