Docs do not have components inherit from `vivarium.Component` #376

Following the pattern in the boids doc led me to this pesky error

vivarium.framework.components.manager.ComponentConfigError: Attempting to create a simulation with the following components that do not inherit from `vivarium.Component`: [['dog_population', 'dog_fertility', 'dog_mortality', 'dog_observers']].
