Welcome to OfficeAgent.NET Discussions

[ilia-sokolov]

OfficeAgent.NET edits Word, PowerPoint and Excel files from .NET and from AI agents: typed, validated change plans, Word edits as real tracked changes, and comments and existing revisions left intact.

Where things go

• Q&A: "how do I…?" questions. Mark the answer that solved it, so the next person finds it.
• Ideas: designs worth talking through before they become issues. Two are open now: marking only the changed words in a redline (Design: mark only the changed words in a tracked changeText (#28) #38) and find targets in C# plans (Idea: find targets in C# plans, like edit_document's { find } targets #39).
• Show and tell: something you built with OfficeAgent. Real use cases shape what gets built next.
• Issues: bugs and agreed work. Security reports go through private advisories, never a public post.

Want to contribute?

• Good first issues are small and fully specified.
• Corpus issues need no code: a real document that breaks naive editing (Submit a document that breaks naive editing #34), or a run of the native Office checks on your own Office build (Run the native Office checks on your Office build #35).
• CONTRIBUTING.md explains how to claim an issue and what to expect from review.

Welcome, and thanks for being here.
