Google Site Search 1.0 API expired

This plugin has been absolutely fantastic for us. We got official word that our license of the GCS v1.0 API has expired and simply updating the API url in the plugin doesn't solve it. 

Would you be able to recommend a way to update this to use v2.0 or an alternative other than Craft's native search?
