Music Assistant separate devices

The latest version of the Music Assistant integration for Home Assistant (2.8 currently in rc) merges players that are separate protocols into single entities. Currently, this doesn't work for the SendSpin clients; they still show up separately, so I have multiple identically named media players showing up in the interface.

Hey @JenniferHatches, I believe that occurs when the MA player is configured to Expose This Player to Home Assistant. I will take a look, but I think that it would need to be a change to the way MA shares the player details.

I can't get the two players to merge no matter what i do regarding the state of "Expose this player"? Is there a step I'm missing?
