While aligning the CQL implementations of quality indicators for the benchmarking use case, we had a closer look at the Extubation (303) concept set in the context of the Weaning quality indicator. A clinician from our team reviewed the concept set and suggested the following changes:

Remove "Changing endotracheal tube headband" (4026055) from the concept set
Reason: Refers to the fixation of the tube, not the tube itself and thus not extubation

Remove "Changing endotracheal tube" (4026054) from the concept set
Reason: A new tube is inserted immediately so the brief period without a tube should not be considered an extubation

Remove "Changing tracheostomy tube" (4331311) from the concept set
Reason: A new tube is inserted immediately so the brief period without a tube should not be considered an extubation
