I don't have the ability to debug this anymore, but it seems to happen around the time that drider is trying to read the list of ebooks from the sdcard. What files do you have in the books folder?

Thanks for your help I actually didnt even have the folder or books but now when i open the epub the 3ds gives me a crash screen and shuts down i saved the crash dump if you might think its useful

Unfortunately not. The crash dump is for debugging lua player plus. LPP is really buggy and now abandoned so there's not much I can learn from it.

I know that you will get a crash if you try to open an ebook that has large images as it causes the 3ds to run out of memory. Lots of ebooks have cover art on their first screen, so try disabling images and see if that helps. You could also just try other (preferably simple) ebooks to test if it's a specific to the one you're trying to view, or a wider problem. If it is just that one file then I could take a look at it and maybe some potential source of the issue will jump out at me.
