Latest bundle built from main cannot be deployed as daemon-assets /assets/300-daemon.yaml volumeMount is missing.

Building the bundle from source(latest main) via make bundle with operator-sdk v1.25.2 omits the daemon-assets ConfigMap and the controller's /assets/300-daemon.yaml volumeMount, so the operator crashes. How is the released bundle generated?
