Cannot set speech rate from within emacs.

This used to work in 1.0. When I use the emacspeak command to set the speech rate, C E D R, speech gets cut off. It doesn't matter what value I set it to, either.

I am having trouble reproducing, works for me fine. Can you give some specific values you are inputing. Also, what does "cut off" mean, per word or per block?

So, I was using values between 100 and 500, the problem was resolved after I used values between 0.0 and 1.0. Still, the predefined rates, using C E D number, can’t be used, even tho they work for other servers like espeak. Diego Vicioso.
