Completely Hides the minimap

I just installed it and the minimap completely disappeared. It cam back when I disabled this package.

What were you expecting it to do? Does it not appear when you scroll? What theme are you using?

It's possible to toggle minimap-autohide from within the minimap itself. If you do this, the minimap will most likely have auto-hidden when you're clicking this button. Hence, you're preventing the plugin from showing/hiding the minimap, but the minimap is already hidden.

To fix this, open your command palette (ctrl-shift-P by default) and type minimap:toggle-minimap-autohide and click it. The autohide plugin is now capable of hiding/unhiding the minimap again.

Unfortunately this is a workaround and it's a pain to re-toggle it if you accidentally turn it off. My suggestion is to have the plugin auto-show the minimap whenever it is toggled off, so then the minimap will stay on.
