No working without screen

Have a unit that I tried to install into a box.
While dissamebly i broke the units screen.
Does not matter, dont need it anyways.
But the unit does not even work without it?

If it's just the screen that's cracked, that only affects the display itself—it won't impact any other functionality of the device. The JetKVM will still work fine in the background.
The main inconvenience is that you won't be able to quickly check the device's IP address on-screen. No worries though—you can find it by logging into your router's admin interface and checking the DHCP client list (sometimes called "connected devices" or "LAN clients"). Look for the entry labeled "JetKVM" or match it by MAC address if needed.
