How about triggering the error if types mismatch only if certain custom function (maybe the function can return a promise instead of returning directly ) returns true . for ex apps might be want to trigger exceptions in dev mode only.

Disabling errors outside of dev mode sounds like a nice idea. I don't have much time to work on this project these days but I'm happy to review pull requests if you want to have a go yourself.

But if errors are disabled, it would sometimes be very difficult to debug problem in production env. I think at least a console warning should be given to alert the developer.
