Idea for a "terminal" command

Hello, everyone.

I have an idea for a "terminal" command. Python is great, but typing os.system() every time I need to communicate with the OS is tiring. Here is the code:

class TerminalCommand(Command):
    def run(self):
        import os

        os.system("clear")

        while True:
            cmd = input("$ ")
            if cmd.lower() in ("q", "quit"):
                break
            os.system(cmd)


terminal = TerminalCommand()
