Copy on write

Nice project! :-) How do you feel about copy on write? That's one (if not the) thing I love about Qt.

I don't really have strong opinions on it. But I do note that stdlibc++ used to have CoW strings before C++11 but they had to change it because it turned out to be impossible to implement some thing with a CoW implementation (AFAICR it had something to do with threads).
