DropDownTreeView is not working within Grid Popup Editor

While using DropDownTreeView in Grid Popup editor template, initialization error is occuring, which seems that dropDownTreeView widget do not have value function.
Is there anyway to use kendoDropDownTreeView plugin inside grid popup editor template.
