Tab bar buttons usually react to file type/context e.g. go to read/edit mode.
Therefore, IMO it would make a lot of sense to be able to filter if a custom button is to be added based on a regex on the filename or just the extension etc.
Does this fix a problem? If so, specify.
You could add more buttons freely without cramming the tab bar with useless ones (on specific contexts).
Did you consider other alternatives?
The current alternative is to just have the custom actions appear always, even in contexts where the actions don't make sense e.g. excalidraw toggle draw/markdown view on regular md files.
