Extra Space in Timestamp Breaking Codeblock Formatting #62

Hey everyone,

I know this is likely being sent out into the void, but this plugin has become critical in my current workflow. I've been making small tweaks in it as it breaks with each Obsidian update. With the most recent update, the formatting of the timestamp buttons was broken. I wanted to make a quick write up to help anyone that might've been affected as well.

The break occurs because of how Obsidian now renders the extra space before the new line.

To fix this, perform the following:

  1. Navigate to the main.js in the .obsidian/plugins/obsidian-timestamp-notes
  2. Open the file in a text editor and scroll to the "timestamp-insert" command
  3. Remove the extra space before the second to last \n. (Specific code line highlighted below)

I'm unsure if there is a better best practice in editing community plugins. For now, I've modified my local copy. In the future, I'll likely maintain my own branch of this plugin.

I hope this helps anyone else that suffered from the recent update!
