Sometimes quoting across line breaks doesn't work

Sometimes when I try to quote across a paragraph split (i.e. two newlines) the highlighting doesn't move past the first newline, so I need to create two separate quotes to find the indices, and then manually combine them (i.e. change <<1 - 10>><<12 - 17>> to <<1 - 17>>).

It doesn't always happen though, so without more testing I'm not sure what's responsible.

This is known/intentional, though not ideal. I had to split up the story into chunks as a rendering optimization (so the UI doesn't try to re-render the whole story every time the set of highlighted tokens changes, which made things lag). I could either:

• Put some <hr/>s in there so it's clear where the boundaries are
• Think about it and try to come up with a solution that is invisible to the user

I figure it's not a huge priority since I think this should happen pretty rarely and has an easy workaround. I can come back to it later if all the higher-priority issues are fixed. How do you feel about there just being some random horizontal rules between some paragraphs?
