What steps can reproduce the bug?

periodically the command entry box stops accepting pasted text. cmd-v will result in only the first word of the clipboard being pasted. Manually typing a message and entering usually fixes the problem.

Not part of the dev team, but it might help next time this happens to open something else and paste into it to make sure it pastes the entire expected contents rather than just the first word.

To clarify, I mean doing that without copying again. This should give certainty on whether it's definitely a pasting into every code problem, or if there's a chance the copy to the clipboard went wrong.

yeah, I did. It's a problem limited to the query input. nothing I tried can get pasting to work again in the query input except submitting a query.
