Rename: 'console-kit' collides with Flow's Kit concept — this is a design system #5

Description

@briananderson1222

Brian 2026-06-12: 'Kit' now means Flow Kit (packaged workflow container, spec owned by kontourai/flow as of flow#67). This package is a shared presentation layer (design tokens + React/web-component primitives) — a design system, not a Kit.

Name candidates (cartography register, like kontour/hachure/surface/survey)

  1. @kontourai/isoline (recommended): an isoline is a line of constant value on a map; design tokens ARE constant values (--k-*) defining product contours. No npm collisions.
  2. @kontourai/linework: the drawn primitives of an illustration.
  3. @kontourai/ui: boring-safe.

Migration checklist (cheap now — 0.1.1, consumers are internal file: deps)

  • Rename GitHub repo (redirect is automatic)
  • Publish under new name; npm deprecate @kontourai/console-kit 'renamed to '
  • Update file: deps + imports in kontour-console, survey, flow consumers
  • Update ops plans/console-kit/*.md references + NOW.md fleet naming
  • --k-* token prefix unchanged (already name-neutral)
  • Sweep kontourai repos for the old name (incl. flow's vendored 'Flow Console Kit' assets noted in its pre-push hook)

Blocked on: Brian picks the name.
