I will post a status update here when something meaningful changes: first difficulty retarget at block 2016, new seeds, new releases.

Milestone: the first difficulty retarget happened.

At block 2016 the network difficulty adjusted for the first time, exactly like Bitcoin's schedule. Blocks were coming much faster than the 10 minute target, so difficulty went up 4x (the maximum single adjustment).

Network right now:

• difficulty: 4 (was 1)
• peers on the seed: 29
• explorer: http://82.22.32.82:8009

29 peers means a lot of new nodes joined today. Welcome. If you run a node that accepts inbound connections, post your IP:9009 here and it can become a community seed in the next release.

If your node is stuck on an old height, you are on a pre-v0.1.6 build with a known sync bug. Grab the latest release and run btc09 node -mine.
