Separate between car and tram

It would be really awesome to have a way for switching on whether the lane selection is for car or tram. This is currently a bit annoying if you've got a tram that needs to turn left but the traffic should only go straight and/or right (see screenshot below).

Hi,
screenshot is not rendering correctly (probably didn't upload correctly - always check on preview tab before sending), but what you described is already possible. Just hold the correct modifier (Ctrl/Alt/Shift) before selecting the source connector. Once the source connector is selected the type of connection is locked (you don't have to hold it anymore) so in case of mistake, you need to unselect it (right mouse click) and begin connection again with correct mode.
