Bug description

Lately, (since sometime last week ~2026-03-04ish) meetingbar does not synch with google calendar unless I open the preferences every morning and re-add google calendar.

Reproduction steps

1. Add a google calendar
2. wait a day or so
3. note that events for the day do not appear in the meetingbar list

Expected behavior

Once a calendar has been connected, it should remain synchronized

This is a known ongoing issue that has been reported by multiple users. See related issues:

• #869 - Bug: Meetingbar breaks every day - events not refreshing
• #832 - Bug: Google auth requests every few hours
• #836 - Bug: Events disappearing and need to refresh the calendar

The issue appears to have been introduced with the "rewritten core" in version 4.11.2. Despite fixes attempted in v4.11.3, v4.11.5, and v4.11.6, users continue to report the problem.

Potential workaround: One user in #869 found that enabling "Wake for network access" in macOS Energy Saver settings reduced the frequency of failures, suggesting the issue may be related to network availability after sleep/wake cycles.
